SHIFNAL TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB
NEXT
LAST
Shifnal were moved across to the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier
Division for the 2006/07 season, and Mick built a side which romped away
with the league title by 10 clear points, scoring 100 goals in the process. They
also won the League Cup, and were losing finalists in the Shropshire Challenge
Cup.

A business disaster led to Mick resigning at the end of the season, Les Bristow
being promoted to take over. He resigned in October 2007, and current incumbent Darren Goodall was appointed for his first managerial role. Town finished in 15th position in the league, which was rather disappointing as they fell away with a congested fixture list towards the end of the season. However, success in the final of the League Cup competition at Walsall's Banks's Stadium against Coalville Town sweetened the pill somewhat!
