SHIFNAL TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB
The improvements at Phoenix Park saw the club return to senior ranks for the 1993/4 season with Shifnal Town spending one season as members of the Skol Midland Combination Premier Division. Third place saw the club invited to become founder members of The Midland Football Alliance. The installation of floodlights in 1994 then insured that Shifnal Town was now able to compete at the highest level since their formation. During their first spell in the M.F.A., success was limited to a penalty shoot out defeat in the 1995 Polymac Services Midland Invitation Triangular Trophy Final. Shifnal Town recovered from a disastrous bottom place at the conclusion of the 1997/98 season, with relegation only avoided due to the lack of promotable clubs in the lower feeder leagues.

The Town finished a highly respectable eighth in the table of 1998/99 and again 1999/2000. This was followed by sixteenth position in season 2000/01 and then just finishing outside the relegation position in nineteenth position for season 2001/02, ending the season in nineteenth position under Manager Reg Priest.

The club appointed Bernard Mackey as the Manager for season 2002/03 but a poor run of results meant John Powell replaced him. John followed on but unfortunately was unable to prevent the club from being relegated into the Midland Football Combination League. Shifnal Townthen appointed a string of Managers to include Joe Owen, Ken Howells, John Newell and Mervyn Rowe as caretaker. Mick Tranter took over the reins during the 2005/06 season, and then followed a purple patch in the club's history.
